Russia Unveils New Data on Kherson, Accuses Ukraine of Targeting Civilians

Siber24jam.com, JAKARTA  – The Embassy of the Russian Federation in Indonesia held a press conference in Jakarta on Wednesday (June 25) to announce an upcoming international teleconference titled “Crimes of the Kiev Regime: Terror Against Civilians of the Kherson Region,” scheduled for July 10, 2026.

According to a concept paper distributed to the media, Russian officials described the Kherson region as one of the areas most heavily affected by the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict. Russia alleges that Ukrainian forces have carried out attacks on civilian infrastructure and targeted civilians living in the region.

The document claims that drone strikes, artillery shelling, and the placement of landmines on public roads have disrupted the delivery of essential supplies and medical services. Russian officials also alleged that weapons supplied by NATO and European Union member states have been used against non-military targets.

During the press conference, organizers said the teleconference aims to present data and information collected by Russian authorities regarding alleged violations in the Kherson region. In addition to statistical data and security trends, the event will feature testimonies from victims and eyewitnesses who reportedly experienced the effects of the conflict firsthand.

The organizers expect representatives from approximately 80 countries across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, and North America to participate. The three-hour event will provide simultaneous interpretation in English, French, and Spanish.

Invited participants include diplomats from United Nations member states, representatives of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), BRICS and CIS countries, international humanitarian organizations, non-governmental organizations, academics, and civil society activists.

Several Russian officials are scheduled to serve as keynote speakers, including Rodion Miroshnik, Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry for issues related to alleged crimes attributed to the Kiev regime; Yana Lantaratova, Human Rights Commissioner of the Russian Federation; and Vladimir Saldo, Governor of the Kherson Region.

The conference agenda will focus on alleged violations of international humanitarian law in Kherson, the reported use of various weapons against civilians and civilian infrastructure, what Russian officials describe as a “campaign of terror” against the civilian population, and measures taken by local authorities to protect residents from the consequences of the conflict.

Russian organizers stated that the forum is intended to provide the international community with what they describe as a more comprehensive understanding of the humanitarian situation in the Kherson region and the impact of the conflict on civilians.

Note: The statements presented during the press conference reflect the official position of the Russian government. These claims form part of the broader narratives surrounding the Russia-Ukraine conflict and remain subject to international debate and independent verification.
